About Redditch Sailing Club
We’re a lively busy club with a regular programme of racing, club and social events as well as the training section so, there is always something happening!
Situated close to the M42 and M5, we attract members from the West Midlands, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.
Located within the 900 acre Arrow Valley Country Park, we have dedicated access to the 27 acre lake with excellent access and transport links. The Park has picnic areas, bridleways and pathways with open spaces (some left to run wild). Further details relating to the Visitors' Centre can be viewed on their website http://www.arrow-valley.co.uk/
The lake was created in 1973/4 when the Redditch Development Corporation decided a park should be provided for the people of Redditch. The park spans the banks of the River Arrow in the north to the Washford Mill Inn in the south. The excavated soil was used for the building of the highway embankments.
The lake is stocked with Rudd, Perch, Roach, and Carp. There are a number of fisherman's pegs located around the lakes perimeter.
